About Us

Our Story

Paige and Alyssa have known each other since kindergarten, growing up in a small town you know everyone. It wasn’t until 4th grade that they really became friends - as Paige was going to be moving three houses down from Alyssa. The two instantly became inseparable. There was a worn path between their houses, as they constantly were traveling back and forth, taking turns staying at each other’s houses. From soccer practices, swimming parties, cheerleading, being each other’s Maid and Matron of Honor, and everything in between, they did everything together. And now, they are so excited to be able to bring this 20+ year friendship to serve everyone who comes to LBR & to Bella Loo's! This has been a passion for the two for as long as they can remember, and being able to have this business in wo amazing communities is better than they could have ever imagined! Alyssa and Paige feel that their honest and lifelong friendship creates a culture that you all will feel welcome and comfortable to be yourselves! They feel their job is to help you feel like the best version of you, with the cutest clothes!

*A special thank you to the local business owners as they have opened their arms to welcome us to this community. We look forward to paying it forward!

Meet Alyssa

Hi, & thanks for being here! My name is Alyssa Frank (Gagen). I was born and raised  in Freeburg, IL and went to school K-12 there.

After high school, I wanted to challenge myself to go away to college somewhere I didn’t know anyone. I visited the Ole Miss campus in Oxford, Mississippi and fell in love! I graduated early with a degree in Political Science and History - Hotty Toddy y’all! I then went to continue my education, a little closer to home, and received my Master’s in Public Administration at SIUE. I was able to have two amazing opportunities - one serving with the Americorps and the other having a Graduate Assistantship for the Edwardsville Township. Both led me to my passion to assist those in need, so I searched to begin my career in the non profit sector.

Paige helped introduce me to my husband, Jacob in August of 2014. Crazy to think we have been together for 11 years now! We live in Waterloo, near his family’s multi-generational farm. We have two beautiful and brave little boys, 4 and 3, who keep us very busy! But to get back to my path to boutique ownership...

In the fall of 2017, I began my career at the YMCA - one of the largest nonprofits! I have transitioned through many roles throughout the last 8 years. I was able to take a smaller role for a year to stay home part time with my kids - something that I will forever value! Now, I serve as the Executive Director at the Monroe County YMCA HTC Center and the Randolph County YMCA. I love being able to stay connected in our community and to give back in many different ways.

I am still in disbelief that Paige and I have the opportunity to join these small business communities and to be able to serve the people in our local communities through both of our Boutiques! I can’t wait to meet you all and to be able to help build confidence and happiness with everyone that walks through our door!

Meet Paige

Hello! My name is Paige Pellmann and I am the co-owner of La Bella Rosa Boutique along with my best friend of over 20 years Alyssa Frank. I was born and raised in Freeburg, IL and went to freeburg school all the way through senior year of high school. Then I went on to Murray State for a year to pursue a career in nursing, but figured out that I wanted to be back in the St. Louis area after that first year. I did enjoy the Disney College Internship before I returned back to St. Louis in Fall 2013. I completed my nursing career at Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes Jewish College in August 2016. I worked as a nurse in pediatric and adult Oncology at Children's and Barnes Jewish, then went on to do some pediatric doctor's office, long-term care and in the last couple years found my passion in nursing education. With that being said, I finished my Masters in Nursing Education at Western Governors University in January 2021. I no longer work at the bedside in a hospital setting and am a Nursing Instructor at Jefferson College. I met my husband Alex Pellmann as I was graduating nursing school in August 2016. We met through mutual friends in Columbia, IL at Tiny's and after that day it was history. We were happily married on 11/24/2018 at ICS church with a reception following at Columbia Turner Hall. We reside in the next town over in Millstadt, IL. We have been blessed with two healthy, full of personality, sassy, and smart children. Tessa who turned 6 this year and Oliver is 3. (A fun side note, Alyssa and I had our boys 1 day apart in the same hospital, with the same OB and stayed right down the hall from each other!)We know many familiar faces and families around the Columbia & Waterloo area, but we are so excited to now be a part of the independent women owned small businesses in these great communities. If we haven't met yet, I look forward to future opportunities meeting new faces and helping women find the perfect outfits for events.
